So sorry for the lateness of getting this out this year!

Welcome to the Holiday Card Exchange! Once again, I will be heading the BB Holiday Card Exchange. Instead of many separate BBs (with a large chunk of "cross over" population) trying to run separate exchanges, the admins got together and agreed to a combined list. Time for another random question brought on by my rummaging through my UFOs.

So, as I put Halloween Bear aside for now, I went through my UFOs trying to decide what to work on next. My thought process was something like this: "Ooh, that's pretty. And BIG. I want something smaller, or that has more done on it." Keep on rummaging. Decide, hey, I'll pull out my travel...

I hope Lindsay doesn't mind, but since I didn't see one started, I thought I would get it going.

For October, I managed to stitch for 85:27 even with 4 days of no stitching at all. I started 2 new projects, worked on 7 different projects and finished off 5 projects. Not a bad month considering everything.

So, how did the rest of you do for the month of October?

Hello, I live in the UK and have been stitching (and knitting) for years and years... to the point now where I have definitely got to get myself organised. I have so many WIPs that I'm hoping I can learn something about rotation stitching from you all and, hopefully, sort myself out so that I can manage to produce some finished projects next year! I have been trying to focus on just 3 projects: Carriage House Samplings 'Houses of Hawk Run Hollow', Chatelaine Designs...

Okay, Glenda is getting us in the "Ask (insert name)" topic. Which is a fun topic, not only on asking the questions but to see how they reply. I thought I would try this fun little thing. About once a week, I'll ask a new question for "One Word Answers". Yes, you can only answer the question with one word. No more. Sometimes it will be easy. Other times harder than you think, and you'll have to stop and think. For me this is great because I'm a wordy person....

Star Wars Sampler

I finished the Star Wars sampler for my husband last night. He's a huge fan of the movie series, and was thrilled when I handed it to him. Now I just need to get it framed. He wants to take it to work to hang in his cubicle as a "geek, sweet geek" decoration.

I have grown tired of my structured rotation so I thought I'd just scream for a while. So the following is actually a WIP list. All will be worked on as I feel like and in whatever order I feel like. If I get bored I will abandon screaming and go back to some structure, either timed or goal-based.

Well, it's not the same laptop, but I've got one! The new one is a Toshiba and prices for them are unbelievable! I've got twice as much, if not more than, memory and hard drive, etc. and it was less than half the price that I spend on the other one in 2007! Absolutely amazing!! Of course, it didn't cost me anything but to buy a new warranty on it, so I'm more than happy. I don't do gaming. I don't have a lot of programs. At least I don't think I do. I don't...

The first is Brown Cat by Mary Ellen Yanich. I've done the other cat that was in the same chart(grey cat), and I've still got to add whiskers from Eclipse, my Siamese mix who is no longer with us and why I stitched it. It's still on dove grey, but the pics not the best. I'll post another when I get the whiskers added.

I started this last week , it is a design by The Sampler Girl in the Jan/Feb 2009 issue of JCS mag. Doing it on 32 count linen with some of the recommended flosses ( ones that i had on hand ) and substituting in others .

It is already over half done, so one more round will see it done for a quick stitch!!

This is a Sue Cook design I think from the David and Charles book, "Cross Stitch Angels". I did this for the Canada Division of the Angel Quilt Project. I'll probably due at least 3 more of the monthly angels eventually.
