Welcome to the Holiday Card Exchange! Once again, I will be heading the BB Holiday Card Exchange. Instead of many separate BBs (with a large chunk of "cross over" population) trying to run separate exchanges, the admins got together and agreed to a combined list. Time for another random question brought on by my rummaging through my UFOs.

So, as I put Halloween Bear aside for now, I went through my UFOs trying to decide what to work on next. My thought process was something like this: "Ooh, that's pretty. And BIG. I want something smaller, or that has more done on it." Keep on rummaging. Decide, hey, I'll pull out my travel...

October Confession Time

I hope Lindsay doesn't mind, but since I didn't see one started, I thought I would get it going.

For October, I managed to stitch for 85:27 even with 4 days of no stitching at all. I started 2 new projects, worked on 7 different projects and finished off 5 projects. Not a bad month considering everything.

So, how did the rest of you do for the month of October?

Okay, Glenda is getting us in the "Ask (insert name)" topic. Which is a fun topic, not only on asking the questions but to see how they reply. I thought I would try this fun little thing. About once a week, I'll ask a new question for "One Word Answers". Yes, you can only answer the question with one word. No more. Sometimes it will be easy. Other times harder than you think, and you'll have to stop and think. For me this is great because I'm a wordy person....

Well, it's not the same laptop, but I've got one! The new one is a Toshiba and prices for them are unbelievable! I've got twice as much, if not more than, memory and hard drive, etc. and it was less than half the price that I spend on the other one in 2007! Absolutely amazing!! Of course, it didn't cost me anything but to buy a new warranty on it, so I'm more than happy. I don't do gaming. I don't have a lot of programs. At least I don't think I do. I don't...

Weekend plans 10/17

I guess it's kind of late to be asking, but what are your weekend plans?

This was a "stay at home" weekend for me. Doing chores around the house kind of thing. Which is a good thing as we're going to Disneyland next weekend so we needed to take care of things before we go.

Does the weather affect you?

We have had about 3 weeks of rain and gray gloomy skies. I can't seem to get anything accomplished and can't get motivated to stitch. If we don't get some sunshine soon, I'm going to have to find one of those lights that simulate sunlight. I'm not depressed but just can't seem to get going with anything. I don't think I've noticed this affect before but we've never had this much rain. Weather man said it's our wettest October ever! Anybody else get this...

you just have no clue what it is?

I went through all my UFOs today (because everything is a UFO since I haven't been stitching) and I pulled one out, and I still have no idea what it is supposed to be. I suppose if I went and found my working copies I'd know what it is... Anyway, it looks like I'm stitching whatever it is over-1, on 28 count, I think, and...it's a very large piece of fabric.

Weekend Plans for 10/2

So what's everyone doing this first weekend of October?

For me, it will be a matter of getting back to a normal routine. The usual laundry, grocery shopping, etc. I will have to run ds and his bestest buddy out to the Parker Haunted House (they donate the money to charity/charities) and pick them up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but will more than likely split the job with his bestest buddy's mother/father as well.

DH is still not up to snuff so I'm not...

Looking out my window you wouldn't think it was October, the sun is out, theres hardly a cloud in the sky and it's warm.

So how did you do last month? Did you start anything? Finish anything? or just make good progress on a WIP or two

I stitched for 96 hrs 17 mins, had 1 start and 2 finishes one of which was the new start

Well i was innocently surfing around the other day and happened to come across a new sampler from With My Needle .......***sigh*** and i like it better, waaaaaaaay better than the one i am doing from Long Dog Samplers ( no offence meant to them )

of course i have about 15 hours already into the long dog one but i am totally disregarding that fact and ordering the new one and will throw it into my rotation when it gets here...

Weekend Plans for 9/25?

So, what's everyone doing this weekend?

This weekend I'm going to clean house on Friday and do some stitching.
Saturday do some more cleaning if it needs it and go out to dinner with some friends. Yes, dh will be joining us.
Sunday, probably sleep in.
DD#1 is off on Friday and Saturday and DS will be going out to help volunteer at the city's Haunted House. So definitely a quiet weekend for us.

Shhhhh!!!!! Quiet, please!!!! No one say a word......
