I'm just musing.. any advice is most welcome!

I graduated end of 2005. Got a job and then after 6 months of working the combination of not being a student anymore and working for a place that passively (via contract) encourages staff to study (a combination of paying the fees and flexible work hours)I re-enrolled. I'm not sure if the extra study will have any bearing on my career because to be honest I did it for fun (

Hi everyone! I've been lurking and have enjoyed reading your posts. I have learned a lot from you all about "rotation" stitching! I've never tried rotating until recently. I currently have three large WIP's and a couple of small exchange items to stitch. That isn't bad...but I've got lots of other projects lined up too!

Every January I decide I should organize myself and rotate.Heaven knows I have enough scroll frames to rotate myself into the middle of the next century!Mainly I want to finish WIPs.BUT how do I avoid being inveigled over to the "dark side"ie my cupboard full of kitted ups and charts that scream "do me". I know I am weak,easily led and completely corruptable.

Organizing and Storing a Rotation

I am trying to get organized and I was wondering how everyone stores all the projects in your rotations. How many projects in your rotation? How are they kitted up? Do you store them beside your stitching area or in another area of your home? These are things I am wondering about as I try to get the best setup for my small one bedroom apt. I have several other fiberarts that are also taking up their fair share of my space so I am trying to at least get one of my hobbies organized. Thanks....

rotation with a focus piece?

I work on a ten hour rotation system with 7 WIPs. I like this system a lot, but I have one piece ("Fairy Flora" by Mirabilia) that is getting close to being finished. I know I still have quite a few hours left to do before she becomes a happy dance, but I want to get her finished sometime this year. On my ten hour rotation system I don't see her but once every two or three months, so what I would like to do is make her a focus piece.

The question is, how do I do...

Spousal interference with the rotation

So last month I redid my rotation and bought a new stopwatch. I was just feeling out of control and wanted to have at least something that was in order in my life.

So I worked on my focus piece for 4 weeks and when I went to take it down DH asked what I was going to work on next. I told him I was going to throw a quilt up on the little frame. His response - "Can't you wait until after Christmas?" Now his response is justified considering that Harry Potter #3 was up...

Help setting up rotation

O.K. I've gone through my WIPs and need some help setting up my rotation so I can start stitching when I finish my nephews' scrapbooks. I haven't really stitched since Aaron was born so I don't know how much time I'm going to have but I'm guessing 1-2 hrs a day. I'm thinking a goal oriented rotation may work best.
