OK come end of May my classes will be done and submitted. That frees up time for me to moderate an exchange. Help me pick a theme, as I like having a good sized exchange with lots of happy participants.

I'm sure everyone is like me - getting ready for the Holidays that are coming up quickly: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc., and getting all your stitching planned out. As far as I know the last exchange (Pinkeep) is pretty much over and nothing new has been started. So here's my question:

I just had an idea for a new SAL. It's just about time to start picking out designs for Christmas ornaments and the new Just Cross Stitch Ornament Issue should be out right around the time we finish the pinkeep exchange. For everyone who will be stitching an ornament for themselves/a gift/ornament exchange - do we want to start up an ornament SAL so we can all stitch together?

Which WIP?

I'm having trouble deciding which of my current WIPs to focus on in January. I've listed them from oldest to youngest. There are mostly up-to-date pics of them in my Yuku WIPs album (I know I have more done on The Iris than pictured). I really want them all done but there's not one that's calling to me more than any other. Help!

TW's Byzantine Ornies - what color(s)?

Going to start working on my bellpull of Byzantine ornies shortly and I'm trying to decide still which color(s) to use on them. It's so hard to make a final decision! Teresa gives 4 colors (green, blue, purple, red) but six different ornies. So what should I do? Help! Oh, and here's a pic of what I've done so far:

also include things like scissor fobs and/or bicornus? Or is it stricky an ornament that can be hung?

I had replied that I had a category for TW ornies, WNCC (Winter/Non-Christmas/Christian) ornies, and Non-TW ornies. But that this would be something to consider.

Wording Help Needed

Okay, as you guys all probably know by now, my parents wedding anniversary is 6/19 and I'm stitching The Silver Lining's 50th Anniversary Roses for them. Well, I'm on the last page and it's not a full page, so hopefully can get it stitched up quickly. At the bottom of the design it just says "50th Anniversary". For me, that just doesn't cut it. I'd like a little more because when I see 50th anniversary I wonder when the anniversary was, etc.

So, which of the sayings below...

I am having a hell of a time deciding what to start working on... and could use some input cause the last couple projects I picked up was missing something...so I just got frustrated and STILL havent started....so what do you all think I should work on?

Realize I have stash galore but at the moment its not organized and still mostly packed.

Having a hard time deciding which new project to start. Of course I'd like to start them all, but that would just overwhelm me in the end! I'm leaning toward Just Nan's "Silkwood Manor" or MLI's "Mother's Tree". I stitched "My Son" as an heirloom piece with silks for Alex a few years back and want to do Mother's Tree for Katie. I have some Dinky Dyes silks I'm going to use when I get around to it. Silkwood Manor has just been screaming more loudly than some...

I need feedback. I like using stretcher bars but I can't seem to get the tension tight enough for soft fabrics like linen.

For the holidays to be over all ready, that is?? I know I'm getting a jumpstart here, but in some ways I've just about had it already. I mean the weather has just started to turn cool here for us in Texas but they had Christmas stuff out before they put out Halloween candy or Thanksgiving stuff, and the Halloween candy was put out in the beginning of September!...

So, it's coming up to the Christms season. Okay, so I'm 5 months early, but who's counting! So, do you love to stitch for family and friends and make them ornies? Or do you just positively loath doing anything for anyone with your stitching? Just curious as I seem to go in bouts.
