Where are all the Mirabilia stitchers? |

Looks like the same old people posting all the time. We do have Vicki joining us now though. What is everyone working on? I'll will be adding one more post
to my Summer Queen thread by the end of the month then that's it for me for a while. AQ might be focus for a rotation over the summer, but I'll start a
new thread if I do that and let the old one die off.

I just found this board not long ago, so I have been peeking in.
I'm working on Summer Queen as well - nearly finished! She's the last of the four Queens, although I'm probably going to do Royal Holiday as well. ~ Sue ~

Welcome Sue! I have been working on Summer Queen's arm and hand lately. Then I have her huge skirt to do. I've got all 4 queens as WIPs right now.
Please feel free to post some photos of your queens!

This is my currently-headless Summer Queen: http://herboudoir.blogspo...r-queen-shes-coming.html
I usually end up doing the clothing then the body parts - I really couldn't tell you why LOL It always just seems that way. And here are the other ladies: http://herboudoir.blogspot.com/2009/01/mirabilia-queens-back-in-1999-mirabilia.html I like your lavender interpretation of Winter Queen. I am planning on doing Rose of Sharon in shades of purple (or maybe a rose red - whatever - I have time to decide!) sometime in the future - between Spring Queen and Fairy Idyll, enough with the yellow. I haven't decided how I'm going to have them framed just yet, but I think I'll be hanging one downstairs in the entry way, and the other three upstairs in my ~ahem~ boudoir. The downstairs one will be rotated with the seasons. I do know that I want them all to coordinate - matching frames, exact size, coordinating mats if decide to have them matted, so that if they end up getting hung up in a grouping, they'll work well together. I'm not sure how Royal Christmas will work into all of that, but we'll see :-) ~ Sue ~

Well I'm stitching on Moonlit Lullaby for my nephew. I will be starting Titania too at some point. I ordered two pieces of hand dyed blue fabric
(couldn't make up my mind and will decide with a floss toss) but I ordered them in early Feb and I still haven't got them nor have I been charged on my
CC - so who knows when I will get to start it.
I have like 30+ mirabilia's I want to stitch so I will always be hanging around! |

You and me both, Paula LOL.
In 1999, I completed The Dreamer and Spring Queen, and got a start on Autumn Queen. I didn't stitch very much for several years until last year. In 2008, I finished Autumn Queen, and I completed Mermaids of the Deep Blue and Winter Queen. Thus far in 2009, I completed Fairy Idyll. In progress, I currently have: Summer Queen (almost done!), Midsummer Night's Fairy, and Crystal Symphony. I have Sleeping Beauty kitted up and ready to go, on a PtP fathom lugana that I can trim enough off to use for Mermaid of Atlantis since she's quite narrow. I think shortly behind them, I will be working on Royal Holiday and Mermaid of Atlantis (Royal Holiday will work on a piece of cream linen leftover from Fairy Idyll), and I'm looking at patterns and fabrics for what would come after them (strong contenders include Rose of Sharon, Garden Verses, Rose Celebration....) I've actually figured out that I really like Garden Verses and Rose Celebration on apricot belfast linen - if I buy a full yard, there will be enough to do both on one piece (Rose is long and narrow, Garden is more square)....and I have another piece of amsterdam blue linen so what mermaid would work well on there....and Midsummer is going to need another fairy friend - perhaps Titania or Woodland? And I adore Venitian Opulence, so she needs to be worked in somewhere.... And on and on.... LOL The funny thing is that if I did nothing but work on projects that are already in progress, I'd be keeping busy for at least the next year. And yet I can't seem to help shopping around, looking at fabrics, thinking "what's next?" LOL Argh! ~ Sue ~

I am trying to finish my first Mirabilia-Shimmering Mermaid. I have been stitching on her solely for the month of May in hopes to have a finish. I'll post
a pic later this weekend.

I have Middy coming to me in the next round of the UFORR. That RR is getting the majority of my stitching time this spring - so progress on TW's Millennium
is minimal. But when I finish that Y2K, Mira's Deepest Love will be up next. I actually pulled it out the other day and checked to be sure I have
everything. If I do another round of the UFORR, she might be going out on 'rounds'.

I've been focusing on Mermaid of the Pearls currently, and hope to stick with her till she's done. And I have so many waiting, but she's closest to
beading so I'm being tough on myself to not get distracted lol
