Posts: 2041 05/22/09 07:12:17 The ONE	Tags : None Well, for me, it is a long weekend. The kids and dh are off on Monday because of it being Memorial Day. We have nothing planned for the entire weekend. Well, at least I don't, but I've got a "honey do" list for dh. He's got to put a pole up so I can hang wash up, paint the patio walls, put up the pole for the birdhouses, and various other things around the house. I'll be stitching a lot. Getting a teacher's gift done, then back to working on my May Biscornu and after that it's up in the air. So, what do the rest of you have planned for the weekend? And do you get Monday off or not? Posts: 150 05/22/09 10:37:07 Not So Easily Shocked	Saturday's still up in the air: either Atlantis' landing at Edwards AFB or the Strawberry Festival Parade in Garden Grove with the BFFs. If the latter, we'll go to brunch afterward, then maybe I'll do some drop-in stitching at the LNS, or go for a bike ride. If the former, it's hard to say what I'll do after the landing, but maybe some touristy stuff in the Antelope Valley area. Sunday: bike ride. Monday: bike ride. If I make it to the LNS, I'll work on the counted canvas piece. Stitching at home will be on the gift for the BFF. When you find yourself in the company of a halfling and an ill-tempered dragon, remember: you do not have to outrun the dragon...you only have to outrun the halfling. Posts: 65 05/23/09 06:56:48	Friday was the start to our long weekend. DH has fridays off anyway. Friday - Shopped for Fence materials - We are replacing our Entire Fence this summer - one section at a time!! Luckly we dont have to replace the posts as they are the metel polls. Saturday - I am in here drinking my coffee, while DH is outside working on the Fence. I think I will Drink my Coffee very S L O W L Y !!! Sunday - Fence then Family Picnic at the Lake Monday - Fence!!! Oh and while shopping for the Fencing stuff, this guy walks up to DH and hands him his bussiness card - he does Fencing. So I said to DH "hang onto that care for when you have a heart attack and I need the fence finished" DH laughed I was serious!!!! Lori TX

Posts: 324 05/23/09 07:23:45	Yes, I get Monday off! Today I'm getting started by mowing the lawn (when I get off here) then heading to my friend's house (with the horse). Tomorrow I get to pick up DD and her bf from Dad's, visit the folks and come home. Monday I have no plans except to try to relax. Kind of difficult to do with 3 kittens always wanting attention. And yes, I get to take the (5 weeks old) kittens everywhere I go! Susan The only thing constant in life is change. My pics blog 50 project challenge - finished 50!

I need to get over to Chico to pick up my sons pants for graduation and he plays with the band for the memorial day ceremony. Tomorrow the kids might go go-karting and hopefully I'll finish a WIP! Posts: 323 05/24/09 15:36:14	I am between projects on the UFO RR - mailed round two off and haven't got round three yet. So I'm going to be stitching on one of my OWN projects this weekend. Yesterday, I did the rest of the slot on Sharon Cohen's Sampler Sweetbag that I broke off doing when round two got here. And after church this morning, I started the slot on Long Dog's Saint Sylvestre. Since the gal who mails to me is in Canada, I usually have a week in between rounds, but that means that once the RR gets here, I'm pretty much stitching on it non stop to put my 20 hours in before the next mail date. I wish I had more time to stitch. Edited to add - yes, I get Monday off, but I'm going to have to go into the office for a couple of hours. There are over 100 invoice corrections that I want to have out Tuesday morning, and if I don't go in tomorrow, I'll have to go in very early on Tuesday. I'd rather have a lazy couple of hours whenever I feel like it instead of getting up at 4 in the morning! Posts: 15 05/25/09 16:01:09	Sat. - Went to the movies and saw Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Re-postitioned a fence at my house. Stitched on Dark Cherry - Working with the dreaded krenik on the moon. Sun. - Went to the Laundry Mat with daughter then to the Gym to work out and enjoy the sauna. Mon. - Hubby and I took the grandkids to a festival at the beach, breakfast and then I went to the gym again very relaxing. Will be reading Twilight and stitching on dark cherry or lst Day (TW).
