Posts: 541 06/30/09 02:07:05	Tags : None We are just about half way through 2009. Where are you in your stitching journey this year? Have you accomplished more or less than you planned? I have not had much time to stitch this year. I average between an 1/2 hour and an hour a day so I have not gotten as much done as I had hoped. However I am making some progress. I have completed 4 projects though 3 of them were small. I am currently working on an ornament called Keeping Watch Mitten as my travel project. My project at home is Mirabilia's Deco Spirits - Fire. I am doing it as part of my Mirabilia RR from 2005. I am within 12 days of finishing this one. I will then move onto LK's Forever Christmas. What are you working on ? Posts: 232 07/01/09 20:49:31	I wandered away from OAATing for a time, but seem to be returning to my usual not-quite OAAT (one main, one travel and one when-I-can't-stand-the-main): finished the Brittercup Kitty Stocking (hoped to have it done in 2008, but didn't make it) finished the Overdyed Odyssey ornament (today!) almost finished the Damned Baby Sampler (friend just charted up the baby info, so need to pick that up from her and then I'll be done) worked on CdC during my travels and made some good progress worked on the Mermaids of the Deep Blue - ran into an alarmingly bead issue and shelved it. plans for the rest of the year: completely finish the DBS finish a baby gift (stocking) ????

Posts: 106 07/02/09 08:53:47	I decided to try a rotation again and I was pretty successful with just four projects. But I took a break from that to finish up a needlepoint project so that I would be able to complete my 25-project challenge by the middle of June. I finished the school year on June 12 and I have been drifting into summer vacation mode. So I'm stitching pretty much what I like. Right now, it's the Keep Me Sampler although my new start on Postcard from Paradise kept me busy for a few days. As for my 2009 plans? I had hoped to finish 10 projects, but so far only 1 is done (Alpine Garden). I'm making good progress on the four projects I had in rotation so there will be a few more finished by the end of the year. Posts: 54 07/02/09 21:00:24	I have recently become a OAATimer, after several failed attempts at a rotation. So now I tend to stitch on one piece for as long as I can stand it or meet a goal, then switch. I finished 2 projects so far this year, and have made significant progress on my HAED and Chatelaine that I want to finish this year. So I guess I am a modified OAAT stitcher/screaming stitcher! I try and make time everyday to stitch a little bit if not a lot, and that helps. My goals for 2009 were to make no new purchases, complete my HAED, Sunnia, and complete my Chatelaine, White Nights of St Petersburg. With half of the year to go, I have 3 full pages and a couple partial pages of Sunnia to go, so I am fairly confident I will finish. I am wrapping up part 10 of White Nights, then it will be the border and all the beading. I am fairly sure I will finish the stitching on that one, but maybe not the beading. I am already looking forward to 2010, so I have some smaller finishes, and less BAP's! Susan My Blog: Stitchin' Blues
