The only challenge that I'm going to stick with this year is the Stitch From Stash Challenge. In both cross stitch and crochet I'm going to stitch from my stash as much as possible. There is a $25 per month budget (Not that I have that much per hobby to spend...) to stick to and I'm not going to give myself any exceptions! (The official Stitch From Stash group has the exception of finishing materials. There is also a formula for credit on how much you stitched on a project that is at least 6 months old.)
January Report - I spent $0. (DH bought me a new chart and a box of supplies from a yard sale. But that didn't come out of MY budget so it didn't count.)
February Report - I spent $1.07 on 3 skeins of floss. I need more but I'm gathering coupons so go to Joann's so I can get it for less. I also spent $9.72 on 9 skeins of yarn at Dollar Tree. (5 of those skeins sell for over $10 at Joann's!) Even if I get all the skeins of floss that I need at Joann's I won't go over budget so I'll be good for this month and I'm going to shoot for $0 next month!
February Update - DH bought me a new chart (Mickey & Minnie in a hot air balloon). I went shopping for floss and DH surprised me by buying them for me! So nothing hit my budget there. At Stitches West I bought a needle minder and two charts from The Frosted Pumpkin which put me over budget for the month. But with January's budget not spent I'm still $15.33 to the good. On the yarn side I went way over (two skeins of yarn, two crochet hooks and a pair of scissors) so I'm going to shoot for $0 for next month on yarn as well as cross stitch.
